The Appalachian Ohio Volunteer Action Center (AOVAC) is an online portal that allows community members to find volunteer opportunities in their area. Through AOVAC, potential volunteers can learn about non-profits and service opportunities in their areas of interest. AOVAC is also committed to helping non-profits continue to develop their volunteer programs. AOVAC works to strengthen our communities through awareness and participation. Together we can help our non-profits in their mission to create communities of which we can be proud. The mission of the Appalachian Ohio Volunteer Action Center is to increase the ability of non-profits in Appalachian Ohio to serve their communities. AOVAC accomplishes this goal by promoting volunteerism in Appalachian Ohio communities.
